New School Girls Track Records Set

New track record
Congrats to the Girls Spring Track 4 x 400 Relay team of Abby, Sarah, Catherine, and Allison for setting a new school record of 4:03.87 at the Suffolk County State Qualifier meet, and to freshman Alyssa for setting a new school record in the Triple Jump. Alyssa jumped 36' 5 3/4" at the Suffolk County State Qualifier Meet.

Commack Varsity Baseball Takes the County Title

With an 8-2 win over West Islip in the second game of the finals, our Commack Varsity Baseball Team earned the SUFFOLK COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP! Congratulations! Commack baseball finished off their regular season with an overall record of 16-3 and a league record of 15-3, winning the League II championship! Read more by clicking the title.

Highest Bowling Average in Suffolk!

Highest Bowling Average in Suffolk!

Daniel was selected as Newsday's LI Boys Bowler of the Year! The Commack Boys Bowling regular season recently ended, and Daniel Petriello earned the highest individual average of any bowler in Suffolk County for the 2016-17 season. For 33 games bowled, Daniel averaged 233.9 pins a game. He is an outstanding bowler who will be representing Commack at states in March. Daniel also won the Boys Singles Championship.

New York State Track & Field Results

NYS ChampsAll of our athletes set new school records for their events!

  • Amanda McNelis competed in the Pole Vault and placed 2nd in the State.Jack Pihlkar competed in the Shot put and placed 3rd in the State.
  • Ryan Lawless competed in the Pole Vault and placed 14th in the State.

Suffolk County ChampsCongratulations to Daniel, Ryan, Nick, and Amanda! 

Suffolk County Wrestling Tournament

The Commack Wrestling team took 7th in Suffolk county wrestling championships. The following individuals made all county:
Jake Eckerle- 3rd place- qualified for NYS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Nick Munsch- 1st Place (COUNTY CHAMP)- qualified for NYS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Alec Masiello- 3rd place
Nick competed in the Division I wrestling championships in Albany Feb. 25 & 26 and placed 6th in the 160 lb. weight class, earning him All-State Honors. It was a good finish to his HS wrestling career.

Congratulations to the following Commack wrestlers who have earned All-County honors after competing in the Suffolk County, Section XI, tournament. Section XI is regarded as the toughest section in New York state in the sport of wrestling.
Nick Munsch- Champion @ 160 lbs. (qualifies for the NYS tournament)
Alec Masiello- 3rd @ 171 lbs
Jake Eckerle- 3rd @ 99 lbs
The team finished 9th overall in the tournament out of 48 schools. Congratulations to the coaching staff on a great season:

Commack HS had several kids receive awards for their efforts and various talents from the fall season.

Jason Salerno - Senior - All-League
Bobby Abshire- Junior - All League
Alex Giordano - Senior - All League and All-Star game Participant
Nick Messina - All-Conference
Jordan Anderson - All-Conference 
John Simone - Academic All-County Team for consistent excellence on the field and in the classroom
Scott Cebollero - All Conference, All County, All Long Island

All of these boys did a wonderful job all season for the team and Mr. Moran is proud of all the boys on their successful season and the individual awards they received.
