FASTA (Future American String
Teachers Association) is designed for students who consider pursuing a career
in Music or Music Education - or are interested in broadening their
musicianship skills. FASTA members will learn string pedagogy (teaching
techniques) and rehearsal techniques. Members
will be encouraged to get experience conducting their own ensembles so they can
apply these skills. Club members will also have the opportunity to work with
students from the intermediate and middle schools.Prerequisite: In general, although not mandatory, NYSSMA level 4 on principal string instrument.
