Snack
We will have a snack period every day. I would appreciate your cooperation by providing nutritious snacks for your child. It would be helpful if your child's snack was packed in a separate bag labeled with his/her name. Although we always try to promote sharing, the children are not permitted to share snacks with each other.
Monthly Updates
Your child will bring home a "School Update." This update will include what we have done throughout the month, as well as news on upcoming school events.
The IH Postal Service is a school-based postal system. The children have the opportunity to write and "mail" letters to friends and teachers at Indian Hollow. The IH Postal Service runs from October to April each year. The second graders are responsible for sorting, processing, and delivering the mail to each classroom every Thursday. Parents are also encouraged to "mail" letters to their children. If you would like me to drop a letter in the mail for you, please feel free to send it in with your child and I will "mail" it for you!
Scholastic Book Order
At the beginning of each month, I will be sending home the Scholastic Book orders. If you choose to order,you can order TWO ways! You can either send in the order form to me with your payment in the form of a CHECK payable to "Scolastic," OR you can order on-line. Be sure to use the teacher code: DDLMT. When using this code, your order will be placed on my account and mailed to me with the class orders. I will send home your order when it arrives!
