Expectations for 6th and 8th Grade Orchestra
Students in Orchestra classes explore how the MYP "Design Cycle" categories are used by individual musicians and performing groups to plan and grow as a musician. 
 
A = Knowing and Understanding
B =  Developing Skills
C = Thinking Creatively
D = Responding
 

*Further develop their music literacy, posture, self-evaluation, and playing skills through lessons, rehearsals, and practice at home.

*Continue to develop a greater understanding of musical elements, including pitch, rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, form, expression, phrasing, and style.

*Deepen their appreciation for music through a wide variety of repertoire, performance opportunities, and connections to in a variety of academic topics.
