Our students will be using the McGraw-Hill series this year to study social studies in first grade. They will learn about citizenship, families, geography and economics. Students participate in whole class read-alouds and discussions during lessons about each of the topics. In addition, non-fiction trade books are utilized to enhance our curriculum.
