Welcome to English 10 Enriched

Mrs. Annie Marusevich
English Department

Open House Information

This year in 10th grade Enriched English class, we will be exploring the use of various literary techniques in a unit of short stories, trying our hand at Shakespearean tragedy, and, among other pursuits, searching out the ways in which language creates meaning in our "Youth in the Media" unit.  Our classes have started off with a flourish of literary analysis and meaningful discussion.  The students are currently constructing short creative pieces that employ the principles of effective diction and the emotional coloring of tone.  It is my hope that this year will prepare my students for the rigors of honors level 11th and 12th grade English, and, most importantly, that this year will mark a renewed love of literature and language as we mix academia with fun. Below please see the current list for our path of study.  Please also know that for all major class assessments associated with our studies, I will be using the REMIND application to notify students of upcoming due dates. While I am disappointed not to be able to meet you this evening, I look forward to a productive year with these students, and I welcome any requests to meet at another time if you wish.  Feel free to check out my website, my policies and procedures, and my contact information- and of course, please contact me at any time.  I value communication with all my students' parents and guardians. Have a lovely night!

Sincerely,
Annie Marusevich
