About Me

Oil Painting of Donuts
Frank Musto.  Art Teacher at Commack High Hchool. I teach all classes, but specialize in Oil painting, Computer Illustration and Advertsing.  I am also a current, active artist that shows work all over long Island and NYC.  I use all mediums to create my artwork.  Within each idea the medium dictates itself.  I am a painter, both abstract and representational, residing on Long Island, New York.  My newest endeavor into the abstract world are a combination of mixed media works that involve tar, oil paint, ink, and varnish.  Texture, composition, movement and color are what drives the latest series.  Each painting is based on my martial arts journey as they represent the fluidity and structure of their Chinese origins.

Game Design and Critical Thinking

How creating video games provides a perfect teaching tool

The beauty of video games, Roizman says, is there’s room for every child to be a part of the process and everyone has a role in the game.

“We haven’t seen any kids failing. They all seem to know enough that they can create and play with, and others can play and have fun,” he said.

“It’s not about technology, it’s about creativity. We’re not trying to expose kids to [computer] coding and have five per cent of the kids love it, and others saying technology is not for me. We want 90 per cent of kids involved the process.”
