Each night your child will be assigned a homework page that will help to reinforce a skill that has been taught in school. Please allow your child to complete the homework indpendently, to the best of their ability. Your child should return their homework in their Take Home folder the following morning.
Also, your child will begin to bring home their own "Book Baggie" each night. In this baggie you will find a sight word key ring, some pattern books that we have worked on in school, and eventually leveled books. It is important to provide your child with opportunities at home to "show-off" for you. Have them read the sight words, the pattern books and leveled readers to you. Of coure, if they need assistance, it is more than appropriate to assist them. The "Book Baggie" must be returned to school with your child each morning.
***If your child is having difficulty completing the homework, please contact me so that we can discuss what your child is having difficulty with so that we may  better assist your child.
