Honored Again - A 2017 "Best Community for Music Education"
in the United States by the NAMM Foundation
The Music Department has earned an
outstanding reputation for excellence throughout New York State. Members
of all performing groups may be considered for participation in
All-County, All-State, All-Eastern, and National Festivals. Grading
policies in all performing groups will include attendance at performances
and weekly rotating lessons.
All of our music teachers have played a role in helping Commack earn the distinction as one of the Best Communites for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation. Over the last ten years, Commack has won this distinction eight times, including the last seven consecutive years. Of course this could not be done without the dedication of our talented students and the support of their families. Thank you!
