Advisors: Ms. Donna Phillips
                Mrs. Rachel O'Boyle

About NJHS

National Junior Honor Society is a club for 8th graders only.  If by the end of 7th grade, you have an overall average from 6th and 7th grade that is at least a 94 you will receive a letter and the application in the mail the last week in August before your 8th grade begins.  You will need to fill out the application and hand it in the first week of school.  The application consists of writing ways you portray the IB Learner Traits, the clubs that you were a member of during 6th and/or 7th grade and community service that you had done in 6th and/or7th grade.  You must have been a member of a club and did at least one community service to be in NJHS.  Once the application has been reviewed, you will receive a letter if you have been accepted towards the end of September.  Once in the club, we do many different community service activities such as Read Across America, Thanksgiving baskets for families in need, holiday baskets for families in need, visit a nursing home, staff gold and white night and much more.
