We hope you consider joining us in the Commack Summer Music Program!  The skills taught in our programs will reinforce what is taught throughout the school year and are directly connected to our curriculum.

To find out which of the three programs is best for your child, please read the information below.

Ensemble Summer Music Program (Elementary School)

Ensemble Summer Music Program: For current 4th and 5th grade students who are currently in the band or orchestra program, and/or would like to sing with the choral program.  

The program will be held from Monday, June 27th, through Tuesday, July 19th, located at Commack Middle School.   The camp will run for three hours per day, two days per week, for four weeks (8 total days).  Students who participate will attend on a Monday/Tuesday schedule.  The district will be closed on Monday, July 4th; therefore, this day will be rescheduled for Friday, July 8th.

To attend the Commack Summer Music Program, please complete all information needed and pay the $275 registration fee on SchoolPay, no later than Friday, May 13th.  Convenience fees through SchoolPay are non-refundable.  There are no reimbursements after this date.

Ensemble Summer Music Program: For current 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who are currently in the band or orchestra program, and/or would like to sing with the choral program.  

The program will be held from Wednesday, June 29th, through Thursday, July 21st, located at Commack Middle School.   The camp will run for three hours per day, two days per week, for four weeks (8 total days).  Students who participate will attend on a Wednesday/Thursday schedule.  

To attend the Commack Summer Music Program, please complete all information needed and pay the $275 registration fee on SchoolPay, no later than Friday, May 13th.  Convenience fees through SchoolPay are non-refundable.   There are no reimbursements after this date.

Beginner Instrumental Summer Music Program (Elementary School)

Beginning Instrumental Summer Music Program: For current 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students who would like to join the band or orchestra program and are new to playing an instrument.   

COMING June 1!!! INFORMATION WILL COME OUT IN MAY FROM YOUR CHILD'S MUSIC GRADE 3 MUSIC TEACHER.  IF YOUR CHILD IS IN GRADE 4 OR GRADE 5 AND WOULD LIKE TO BEGIN AN INSTRUMENT, PLEASE CONTACT THE ART AND MUSIC OFFICE.

The program will be held from Monday, June 27th, through Thursday, July 21st, located at Commack Middle School. Each lesson group will consist of one 30-minute lesson per day, four days per week (Monday through Thursday), for four weeks total (16 total music lessons – The district will be closed on Monday, July 4th; therefore, this day will be rescheduled for Friday, July 8th.) Lesson groups will be determined by like-instruments.  We ask that you keep 12:45 p.m.-3:45 p.m. available on these days until an official schedule and time slots are built and shared with you. You will be notified of your child’s scheduled time via the email address you provide, prior to Friday, June 17th

To attend the Commack Summer Music Program, please complete all information needed and pay the $150 registration fee on SchoolPay, no later than Friday, June 10th.  Convenience fees through SchoolPay are non-refundable.   There are no reimbursements after Friday, June 17th.
