The mission of the Commack High School Counseling Center is to facilitate each student’s personal, social, academic, and career development through the delivery of guidance and counseling activities that will support students in becoming responsible and productive citizens.
The Counseling Center curriculum is designed to assist all students in developing an understanding of their interests, abilities, and the skills necessary for responsible decision-making. All students will have an opportunity to learn how their values affect their lives, how to secure appropriate jobs or educational and vocational training, and how to implement life-action plans.
Counselors will help young people learn how to accept responsibility for their commitments and for their academics and social needs. The Counseling program will provide an opportunity for students to learn to deal constructively with stress, to manage conflict, and to develop critical thinking skills. These objectives will be accomplished in a variety of ways: Large group orientation sessions, class meetings, small groups and individual counseling sessions.
Grades will be posted to the Infinite Campus Portal. Please visit https://campus.commack.k12.ny.us/campus/portal/commack.jsp to access the portal. For help with parent portal access, please email [email protected]
