JV Baseball Coach of the Year

Congratulations to Coach Jim Desmond, the Suffolk County Baseball Coaches Association League 2 Coach of the Year. The CommackHighSchool JV Baseball Team has captured the League 2 title for two years in a row! This year's record was 14-4.

Suffolk County Dellecave Award Winner

Congratulations to Katie and Joey, Commack's Butch Dellecave nominees and top scholar athletes, and to Katie K. for winning the Suffolk County award. Katie is a three-sport athlete, playing soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. Katie was also named a News12 Scholar Athlete this year, and spends countless hours performing volunteer work while maintaining a 101 weighted average. Ketie will play for Hofstra's lacrosse team in the fall.
Joey is an All American athlete, just look down this page for his many accomplishments!  Congratulations!

Unified Basketball Team Makes the Playoffs!

Our first Unified Basketball Team got better with each game and made it to the playoffs!  Coaches Kim Radziul and Matt Cardinale said the students "learned the values of a cohesive team." Go Commack!

Suffolk County Championships and State Qualifier Meet

Alissa B. became the County Champion in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump events by winning both events on June 1 & 2. She is #1 in New York State in the Long Jump and Triple Jump, double division. And she is #2 in the US in the Triple Jump!!!

Steven V. was crowned the County Champion in the Discus event for the second year in a row and will look to defend his State Championship in Discus.
Both Alissa and Steve will compete in the NYS Track & Field Championship Meet on June 7th and 8th at Middletown High School.

Alissa Breaks Another Record!

And the honors keep coming for Alissa B.!  Alissa placed 3rd at the New Balance Nationals in North Carolina on June 16. She has retained her title as "All American." Alissa Braxton is undefeated in Suffolk County in the Long Jump and Triple Jump, All League, All Division winning both events, All County, Winning both events, and All State and All Federation winning the Triple jump as defending Champion and placing in the Long Jump. Alissa is currently #1 in NYS in both events and #2 in the USA in the Triple Jump. She recently broke the record in White Plains (Glen D Loucks Games) standing since 1996. Quite an historical event.

Girls & Boys Varsity Badminton Undefeated 3 Years in a Row!! League 1 Champs!

The Boys and Girls Barsity Badminton Teams had a great regular season.  The girls team went undefeated for the 3rd straight season with a record of 16-0 (54 in a row) and they won the League 1 championship for a 5th straight year.  We hope to recapture a county championship for a 3rd straight year.  My boys also had a great year going undefeated as well with a record of 16-0.  They also were League 1 champs.  
 
Commack Varsity Badminton had another strong showing at the Suffolk County Individual Tournament held at HHH on May 20, with 14 players participating in the 2 day tournament. Eight athletes were recognized as All-County players.  The following players will be playing today for the chance of being County Champions:
Boys Singles- Andrew W.
Boys Doubles- John B. & Joon C.
Girls Singles- Emily H. (defending 2018 County Champ)
Girls Doubles- Carly M. & Jamie B., and Stephanie S. & Kim C.
