Burr Reading Challenge

The Burr Reading Challenge Club is gearing up to promote the love of literature as well as emphasize the benefits of reading. The Burr Reading Challenge Club consists of 2 representatives from each class. The Club meets periodically throughout the year and meetings are chaired by reading teachers and teacher volunteers. The Burr Reading Challenge Club challenges students to make reading a daily habit with different themes and activities. They encourage students to make reading a daily habit, reading for at least 20 minutes a day and reaching a goal of 25 books a year. Each representative reports the new challenge to their classmates after each meeting. The classroom teacher encourages and guides students as they participate in the Challenge. You can promote the love of literature by taking your child to the library and setting aside a quiet time for daily reading.
