How Do I
Rent an Instrument?
VIOLIN-
=
The Commack UFSD does not
rent violins.
=
You
can rent a violin from a reputable, local, music store. See attached
information for local music stores to rent.
VIOLA-
=
You can chose to rent a
viola from the Commack UFSD in September or from a local, reputable music
store.
=
Students
playing viola may take instruments on the bus between school and home on lesson
and orchestra days.
CELLO/BASS:
=
You can chose to rent a
cello or bass from the Commack UFSD in September or from a local, reputable
music store.
=
Due
to the delicate nature of the larger string instruments, students playing cello
or bass must arrange to have the instrument picked up by a
parent/guardian. THEY MAY NOT GO HOME ON THE BUS!!!
=
Once
the cello/bass is home, it will remain home for the duration
of the school year. Students will use
another cello/bass at school for lessons/orchestra.
=
If
your child’s cello/bass at home needs to be tuned please contact Mrs. Foti to
arrange tuning. It is very important
that only a person experience try to tune the instrument.
