Hello and welcome to Second Grade! My name is Mrs. Tacca and I will be your new teacher. I’m looking forward to meeting you and I am so excited for the school year to begin!
I have been fixing up our
classroom and getting everything ready for September. We will do a lot of wonderful things that I
am sure you will enjoy! We will learn
lots of new math skills like regrouping, multiplication, and division. We will
read tons of my favorite stories, including some of the best chapter books
ever! We will be writing about the great things that you have done and seen
this summer along with many other kinds of writing such as realistic fiction,
fairy tales, nonfiction, poetry, and more. We will even learn cursive writing!
As you get ready for the
first day of school, please remember to put your name on ALL of your school
supplies, and bring a healthy snack along with a drink.
I am glad to have you as
