National Merit Semifinalists & Commended Students
Commack High School is proud to announce that four students, Juliette A., Emma V., Norah B., and Samuel V. were honored for their academic achievements by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).

NMSC, a not-for-profit organization that operates without government assistance, was established in 1955 specifically to conduct the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. This is the corporation's 68th annual program. The National Merit Scholarship Program honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

Juliette and Emma are two of 16,000 nationwide National Merit Semifinalists. This pool of Semifinalists represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. Therefore, Commack students are among the highest-scoring entrants in New York State.

Additionally, Norah and Samuel are recognized for their intellectual abilities and achievements by being named two of the 34,000 Commended Students. These students are being honored for their exceptional academic promise.

Being recognized by this organization’s competition is a very high achievement and the Commack School District is proud of our talented students!
