Expansion planed for Art Department Game Design curriculum.
Game Design as a Bridge between Creative Visualization Design and Academics

Some more exciting news to close out the school year!

Commack High School Art Department - Game Design Program  - Mr. R Raeihle

RE: Epic MegaGrants Dear Commack High School Art Department - Game Design Program,

Congratulations!

The Epic MegaGrants program has approved a grant in the total amount of $25,000 (“Grant”) for your Game Design as a Bridge between Creative Visualization Design and Academics project (the “Project”). Additionally, the Grant will include Epic’s provision to you of 1 Magic Leap hardware device(s) for your use in furtherance of your Project. The Epic MegaGrants program encourages projects that will benefit the Unreal Engine ecosystem or the 3D graphics community. Other than Epic Games, Inc.’s (“Epic”) interest in its own technology and content, such as the Unreal Engine and Epic provided Unreal Marketplace assets, you will retain ownership interest in your Project while participating in the Epic MegaGrants program, including the ability to publish your content on the platform of your choice.

"After working on a grant for over a year, we have been awarded the $25,000.00 MegaGrant to help expand and connect our game design curriculum.  Epic provides the software we use for our Game Design classes.  I hoped the grant would provide us with an opportunity to connect the game design curriculum even more so to the arts program and provide new and unique opportunities for our students. The grant title is "Game Design as a Bridge between Creative Visualization Design and Academics." -Raeihle
