The Suffolk Y JCC honored CHS students Adin B. and Rebecca C. with Students Building Bridges awards at a gathering at the community center on Thursday evening.

Adin was cited for his involvement on the district's Legislative Advocacy Committee, which traveled to Albany earlier this school year to lobby for the community and students' interests. He also earned praise for his involvement in the "Names, Not Numbers" documentary in which local students interviewed Holocaust survivors.

Rebecca was praised for her volunteer efforts, which aim to create a more civil and inclusive society. She was particularly cited for addressing pertinent issues at a Board of Education meeting as well as her contributions to the district's Multicultural Day.
