CHS revealed its homecoming court during a spirited pep rally inside the school's stadium at the conclusion of the school day on Friday.

As selected by the student body, the homecoming king nominees are Emerson A., Adam B., Jake G., Brayden O. and Jared R. And the homecoming queen nominees are Hollie D., Jordan D., Gabriella H., Kaylee M. and Emma R.

The royalty will participate in the homecoming parade at 1 p.m. on Oct. 11, with the king and queen announced at halftime of the football game later that afternoon.

Also on Friday, each varsity team made energetic entrances onto the field when they were announced during the pep rally, the marching band and Cougarettes performed a portion of their upcoming Newsday Marching Band Festival show, and the grades began their Battle of the Classes competition.

The initial Battle of the Classes events included tug of war, water balloon toss and an egg race.
