Commack Schools played a big part in the success of Sunday's Commack Day festivities hosted by the Suffolk Y JCC.

Superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox, district clerk Debbie Virga, CHS' cheerleaders and other students and staff took part in the annual festivities celebrating the Commack community

Dr. Cox accepted a check for $2,500 from the Eric Spinato Foundation for annual scholarships awarded to CHS seniors. In all, the event distributed $18,000 for local charities and first responders.

Plenty of Commack students were spotted enjoying the circus, mechanical bull ride, petting zoo, face painting and other activities.
