CHS Hosts Senior Citizen Matinee as Curtain Rises on 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

Commack High School students treated local senior citizens to a complimentary dinner and show on Thursday.
The CHS Masque and Wig troupe performed Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in the high school's auditorium. Then, the senior citizens headed to the cafeteria for a dinner served by members of CHS' Scholar-Athlete Leadership Club.
Superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox, board president Gus Hueber and high school administrators mingled with the senior citizens during dinner.
CHS hosts senior citizens twice each school year for complimentary performances and dinner.
"A Midsummer Night's Dream" will also be performed on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $15 for the public and $12 for students.
