CMS Hosts STEAM Night with Catapults, Slime and Race Cars

Who knew science and technology could be so much fun?
CMS hosted the district's annual STEAM night on Thursday evening. And fourth through eighth graders who attended with their families had a blast.
With stations manned by STEAM teachers as well as CHS students, the attendees had the chance to participate in activities including operating robots, examining fingerprints, using microscopes and using catapults and race cars.
District science director Laura Longo and executive director of innovation and technology Alise Pulliam helped organize the event.
Students who participated in enough activities even discovered a secret code they could use in an escape room.
