Burr Third Graders Get Taste of Australia
Burr third graders are honing their artistic talents while getting a taste of Australia this week.
The intermediate students are learning about how Aboriginal Australians tell stories through dot painting of symbols and shapes.
The third graders then are getting to make their own storytelling paintings by painting dots on wood with either twigs or, as a substitute, Q-tips. They received a key with assorted symbols to replicate, including campsite, thunder, snakes and emu tracks.
