Council of PTAs Honors Commack's Most Selfless at Founders Day Celebration

The Commack Council of PTAs honored a slew of staff and community members on Tuesday evening who go above and beyond on behalf of the district's students.
At the annual Founders Day ceremony inside the CMS auditorium, Toni Newman was recognized as a New York State PTA Distinguished Service Award honoree.
Each school also recognized two deserving recipients, one apiece with an honorary life membership and an Advocate in Action award.
Those recipients:
CHS: Denise Jacobs and Sean Prahalis
CMS: Amy Martin and Larry Plompen
Burr: Christine Remo and Michelle Dick
Sawmill: Danielle Savage and Nena Thompson
Indian Hollow: Sandra Luciano
North Ridge: Natalia Metzger and Lianna Conroy
Rolling Hills: Cara Morocco and Dr. Lori Gary
Wood Park: Lauren Wallace and Christiana Varlamos
SEPTA: Angela Olujimi and Cara DeVita
Council: Dana Schultz and Dr. Jennifer Santorello
Students also received recognition for their achievements in the Reflections contest.
