CMS 8th Grade Italian Student Takes to the Airwaves for International Women’s Day

On Saturday, March 7, CMS eighth-grade Italian student Arianna S. took to the airwaves as a featured guest on Sabato Italiano, the popular Italian-language segment of Radio Hofstra University.
Invited to speak in conjunction with International Women’s Day, Arianna shared thoughtful reflections on the female role models who have shaped her life. During the broadcast, she spoke passionately about how these women have not only inspired her personal growth but also deepened her connection to the Italian language and her family's cultural heritage.
Among the women she highlighted were her mother—who is also an Italian teacher and an author—and her CMS Italian teacher, Dr. JeanMarie Perrella. Arianna credited both women with fostering her love for the language and providing strong examples of leadership and mentorship.
We are incredibly proud of Arianna for representing our school and celebrating the impact of women in education and her life.
