Principal Michelle Tancredi Zott Celebrated Ahead of NSSA Award

Sawmill Principal Michelle Tancredi Zott received a surprise on Friday morning at Sawmill.
After the morning pledge, Assistant Principal Stefanie Liptzin announced on the PA system that Tancredi Zott is being honored on Saturday during a special fundraiser for NSSA. The award specifically focuses on her clear vision and dedication to supporting students from both NSSA and the broader Commack community.
Then, students and staff brought signs reading congratulations and bouquets of flowers to honor their building leader.
Tancredi Zott announced her retirement at the end of the 2025-26 school year. Her leadership and commitment over the past 20 years have changed the trajectory of many students and their families. The Friday morning celebration gave the children and staff a chance to show their deep appreciation for her guidance. We congratulate her on this remarkable honor!
