Commack School District paid homage to outgoing Board of Education vice president Susan Hermer at Thursday evening’s Board of Education meeting. Commack Superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox and Nassau-Suffolk School Board Association Executive Director Bob Vecchio both spoke of Hermer’s contributions that will leave a lasting mark on Commack School District.

“While she has helped guide important decisions and policies, what I will remember most is how much she genuinely loved being around our students,” Dr. Cox said.
