Commack High School now is lined with U.S. flags alongside Townline Road and Scholar Lane.

The varsity and JV football teams, as well as community and staff members volunteered on Monday afternoon to help arrange the flags and attach them to the school's fences.

The flags annually are displayed leading into the 9/11 remembrance ceremony spearheaded by district clerk Debbie Virga and hosted at CHS.

This year's 25th anniversary remembrance ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 11, and will include a 500-drone patriotic light show, symbolizing the spirit of remembrance, resilience, and American unity. The community is invited to attend.
