Boys Soccer Wins Long Island Championship; Girls Soccer Also Reaches State Final Four
Both CHS varsity soccer teams are headed to the state’s Final Four upstate!
The boys received two first-half goals apiece from Ryan S. and Ferenc B. en route to a 5-0 win against Herricks in the Long Island championship match on Saturday at Islip High School.
The Cougars claimed their first Long Island title since 2014. They also won the state title that year.
The CHS boys move on to the state semifinals next Saturday in upstate Middletown.
Meanwhile, the girls also advanced to the Final Four with a 2-1 double-overtime victory against Ithaca at Waverly High School upstate.
The girls will play in the semifinal next Saturday in upstate Cortland.
