Memorial Day Message

Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and I hope all of us have an opportunity to spend some time with family and friends on Monday. Kindly take a moment to remember those who died in defense of our freedoms, because this is the true meaning of Memorial Day. As we reflect on the sacrifices made for us, I share the words John F. Kennedy spoke at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them."

A Message of Support from Mr. Flatley

Dear Commack Family,
Words fall short.

Today, we join with families around the nation in support of the Robb Elementary School community as they come to grips with unimaginable pain, anger, and loss. Our thoughts, prayers, and sincere condolences are with the students and their families and with the teachers; administrators; first responders; friends; and all the good people of Uvalde. We also remember in our prayers the nurses, trauma surgeons, psychiatrists, and other medical professionals and law enforcement officers all pressed into service under challenging, heartbreaking circumstances. Read the entire message...

Multicultural Festival

Commack's Multicultural Festival

The Multicultural Festival was a day of family fun and to celebrate the diversity of cultures and customs of the people in our school district. Over 100 student and staff volunteers led games, dance, music, origami, sushi, face painting, jewelry and lantern making. There was so much to do and to see, along with raffles and food - and let's not forget getting your passport stamped as you visited the many countries represented! A big thank you to Mrs. Boritz and her committee, along with our facilities and sound crews and to all the volunteers. #CommackUnity  Click here for lots of photos!
