We appreciate the passion of the community spirit of our students and fans as it aligns with our schools’ philosophy and our athletic program.  We want to be very clear about our expectations and culture.

Fall Athletic Updates

Boys JV Golf Team Undefeated Season

The Boys JV Golf Team finished their season UNDEFEATED with 10 wins and no losses. Congratulations to team members: Michael B., Ryan B., Ryan D., Daniel F., Dominick G., Zachary G., Daniel G., Christian K., Ben M., Anthony M., Max S., Daniel S., Thomas S., and Luke T.

Girls Varsity Soccer Update

In yet another OT game, CGVS brought in a 2-0 victory against East Islip yesterday. Both goals scored by senior Gabriella D in the first and second overtime, one assisted by Marissa M, the other a shot out from the 20 yard line. With 0-0 at the 90 minute mark, senior keeper Dana P kept our first shut out since our third game of the season. Another tough match fought to the last minute.

Boys Varsity Soccer

Commack Boys Varsity Soccer beat Connetquot by the score of 5-1 in a League 2 battle.  Justin G had a "Hat-Trick" and Joey C and Jackson M each had a goal.  Kyle A added 2 assists and Jake T and Justin R each had an assist as well.  Tommy W was lock down on defense and Jake C  and Giancarlo D were dangerous up top for the cougars in the second half. Well done boys!
Commack Swim Team

Swim Team Dominates!

The girls swim team continues to dominate!  Sophomore Denise P set a new Section XI record in the women's 100 yard breaststroke on October 7 with a time of 1:03.04.  Denise is currently ranked #1 in New York State.  The Commack/Northport girls varsity swim team remains undefeated, 6-0.  
Varsity Field Hockey

Varsity Field Hockey Update!

The Commack Field Hockey team now have a record of 7-2 with a 4-0 win over Walt Whitman!  Keep up the good work ladies!
School of Excellence

NYS School of Excellence

We are extremely proud to announce that our varsity athletic teams earned the NYS School of Excellence distinction for the 2018-19 school year. More than 75% of our teams maintained academic grades of more than 90! This is an amazing accomplishment for our athletic program and a testament to our students' committment.

Girls Cross County News - Fastest Race Time

The Commack Girls XC team won the Nassau Coaches Invitational Varsity A Race with Fiona M. recording the fastest race time for the day.  Fiona ran the 5KM Bethpage course at 18:47. WOW!    

Football Teams Victorious

Both the Varsity and JV football teams won their first games v. Sachem on 9/14! Varsity pulled it out in OT 14-13 and were featured in Newsday!
From Coach Slackman - JV Coach:  JV football won their first game 31-7 vs Sachem. Tristan M 2 TDs, Jake M 2 TDs, Christian B 1 TD run and 1 TD pass, Matt M 1 TD pass. Next game Sat 9/21 @ Pat-Med, 9am

JV field hockey won its home on opener on 9/6, 2-0 against Lindenhurst!!

Tournament Win for Girls Volleyball

Congratulations to Coach Barone and the Girls Varsity Volleyball on winning the Walt Whitman Volleyball Tournament on Saturday Sept. 7th.  Excellent job!!

Physical Education Medical Guidelines:

A student must have full medical clearance with NO limitations, to participate and receive credit for physical education. No partial participation or participation with stipulations from a doctor are accepted. Any student-athlete who is NOT fully cleared to participate in physical education will not be eligible or cleared for athletics.
