Technology

The Commack IT team provides support and guidance in all areas of information and instructional technology. Whether it be a member of the MIS team, the Data Team, or a member of our Instructional Technology Team, we seek to maintain a service of quick and efficient problem resolution.

We enjoy integrating advanced and innovative technologies into the district and taking learning walks to see how these technologies are used in District classrooms, buildings, and departments. It is our intention to maintain all current technologies with fidelity and we take pride in ensuring all technology serves as learning tools for the students, as direct support for teacher instruction, and as a tool to ensure the continuity of business operations for all administrative staff.

Commack School District is a district that promotes hands-on, project-based learning in a K-12 environment and the technology department is honored to be able to support academic and personal growth among our student population through the use of technology.
The Curriculum team and Commack IT Team are proud of the teachers and students District-wide that celebrated Computer Science Education Week last week from December 4th to December 8th. Students were exposed to all different types of themes in Computer Science. The District takes pride in the continued work towards creating a robust Computer Science and coding experience for our students throughout their experience K-12 and cannot wait for next year’s CSandE Week to showcase our continued movement toward an enhanced experience.
