Girls Winter Track - League Champions

  • The Girl’s Winter Track team captured its first League 2 Winter Championship!!! Great Work Girls!!!

Boys Bowling News

Congratulations to Dominick G, Anthony B, and Luke J!  At the Boys Bowling Singles-Doubles Tournament, Dominick came in 6th place averaging 229 pins a game.  Anthony and Luke came in 3rd place for doubles, beating 95 other teams to enter match play.

Boys Winter Track Updates

League 2 High Jump Champion!   
Danny P. was the League 2 High Jump Champion with a jump of 6'0". 
League 2 Second Place
The team competed in the League 2 Championship meet at Suffolk Community College, and placed 2nd with 75 points.
Boys Winter Track Takes First Place
Congratulations goes out to the boys' 4x400m relay team for placing 1st at the Stanner Games held at the Armory in NYC with a time of 3:31.83.
Field Hockey sportsmanship award

Varsity Field Hockey Wins Suffolk Sportsmanship Award!

The Commack Varsity Field Hockey Team was chosen as the 2022 Suffolk County Sportsmanship Award recipient by the Umpires Association! A huge honor to be selected among all teams in the county! In photo - senior players accepted the award for the team at the annual Awards Banquet held at Villa Lombardi.

Our Varsity Football staff won the Sportsmanship Award presented by the Suffolk County Football Officials Association! Congratulations to Coaches Zumpol, Reggio & Contressa, and to AD Mr. Friel!  

Wrestling Updates

January 8, 2023 - Commack came in 2nd place at the Shoreline Wrestling Tournament in New Rochelle. There were 21 teams competing!

January 5, 2023 - Commack Wrestling upset 1st place Connetquot 33-32 led by 8th grader Vinny A., sophomore Carmine D. and Sophomore Zachary H. 3 in a row pins to seal the come from behind win.

Top Ten in Fencing - Boys & Girls

Ethan G. was named in Newsday's Top 10 with a 29-3 record in sabre last season and his "speed, accuracy, ability to strategize and carry out his plans methodically" earned him a Top 10 spot on Long Island. Congratulations!

For the ladies, Anna R. was recognized in the Top 10. She was the top foil fencer last season, and won the individual county championship. She held a 30-3 record.

Top 25 - Commack Girls & Boys

KUDOS to our athletes!
Giancarlo D. was named to the Top 25 Track & Field players by Newsday. He's the second-fastest returner in Suffolk in the 600!
Julie T. is the defending shot put state champion and in the Top 25 for the ladies Track & Field on Long Island! 

Brianna T. is a Newsday Top 25 bowler, with a 191.75 average, and a 258 high game last season.
Anthony B. made the Top 25 bowlers with a 218 average, and a high game of 300!

First Team:
Mikalah C. OH, Sr. Volleyball - with 205 kills and 175 digs and was named the MVP of the Suffolk AA tournament after leading Commack to the championship as No. 4 Commack beat the top two seeds along the way.

Zach F. D, Sr – Boys All-Long Island Soccer 
Tori L. D, Sr. –  Girls All-Long Island Soccer

League 1 Coach of the Year

Girls Soccer coach Joe Brandofino was named League 1 Girls Soccer Coach of the Year! Congratulations Coach! 

Top 100 Boys Basketball

Senior Mike G. was named to the Top 100 players on Long Island by Newsday. He's a three-year varsity player who "averages 17 points and made 67 three-pointers last season." Congratulations! 

Top 100 Girls Basketball

Fiona K. and Maya K. were named in the Top 100 basketball athletes by Newsday. Fiona is a senior who "contributes in every facet of the game" and Maya was "one of the top shot blockers in Suffolk." Congratulations ladies!
County Volleyball Champions!


Congratulations to our Commack Varsity Volleyball Team for winning the SUFFOLK COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP!  The Lady Cougars won the championship 3-1 over #2 Ward Melville. Way to go COUGARS!!!
Boys Golf Team

Boys Golf in Final Four!

The Commack Boys Golf Team won again! They beat a Ward Melville team that has won the last four Suffolk County Championships!!!  Unbelievable!  They move on to the Final Four on Monday, November 7 at Spring Lake Golf Course.  
State Gymnasts

Gymnasts Heading to States!

Congratulations to these awesome Varsity Gymnasts for earning their spot on the Section XI State Team!!! Julia C. qualified on Vault, Jessica B. made it on Floor, and Alexa M. will be competing on both Vault and Bars! Good Luck at the State Competition in March! 


The Athletic Department announces the integration of a new online system, Final Forms, to reduce repetitive paperwork for families. Final Forms allows you to complete and sign required athletic participation forms from your computer, tablet or mobile device. All spring athletes will use this system.
