Snack Time

We will have a snack period everyday.  I would appreciate your cooperation by providing nutritious snacks for your child.  It would be helpful if your child's snack was packed in a separate bag labeled with his/her name.  Although we always try to promote sharing, the children are not permitted to share snacks with each other.

Birthdays

We love to celebrate birthdays in Room 7 and Room 27!  On your child’s birthday, we will be sure to celebrate in a fun-filled way.  We are unable to celebrate with food.  A letter will be sent home highlighting our birthday celebration activities!   If your child has a “summer” birthday, we will be celebrating his/her “half” birthday.  

School Updates

Monthly, your child will bring home a “School Update.”  This update will include what we have done throughout the month, as well as news on upcoming school events.  I believe that this will keep you informed and maintain the lines of communication.

My email address is [email protected].  Please feel free to email me any questions, comments, or concerns.  This is yet another way for us to communicate throughout the school year.  However, please be advised that anything requiring a parent signature (ex. pick up note, bus change note, field trip form, etc.) must be done in writing.                                             

At the beginning of each month, I will be sending home the Scholastic Book.  I usually place the orders sometime in the middle of each month.

If you choose to order, you can order TWO ways!  You can either send in the order form to me with your payment in the form of a CHECK payable to "Scholastic," OR you can order on-line.  Be sure to use the teacher code:  H8RQF. When using this code, your order will be placed on my account and mailed to me with the class orders.
