TV/Video Classes

TV Journalism - Throughout the course of TV Journalism you will learn how to work analog cameras, and edit as well as produce videos. Each student is a member of a group and teamwork is an important part of this course.

Video Portfolio (Prerequisite - TV Journalism) - This class consists of digital video filming and editing. Students work independently to create projects such as music videos and auto-biographies.

Script Production (Prerequisite - TV Journalism) - During this course, students work together as a class to produce a script that has been written in our very own script writing elective. Projects created during this class are professional and are filmed and edited digitally.

TV Studio Production (Prerequisite - TV Journalism) - Studio production is responsible for the CTN News aired every morning during homerooms. Each student has a chance to do every job, and by the middle of the class everyone will master their positions. They then chose which one they enjoyed the most to stick with it until the end of the semester.

Electronic News Gathering (Prerequisite - TV Journalism) - In electronic news gathering, each student has the privilege of adding their own special touch to the CTN News. They do projects such as "today in history" and outside school pieces.

Advanced Studio Production (Prerequisite - Studio Production) - Advanced studio production is a step higher than TV Studio Production. Throughout the class you will be able to produce actual shows, that consist of what's going on in the school.

Introduction To Radio - In this class you will learn how to digitally record commercials, voice-overs, and radio shows. You'll gain experience speaking, as well as a learn about the history of radio.
