 Wildlife Baby Shower - It’s that time of year again, Sweetbriar’s annual Wildlife Baby Shower.  Come celebrate nature as it comes alive in the spring with beautiful flowers, vibrant green leaves, and, of course, baby animals.  Sweetbriar takes in hundreds of orphaned animals a year.  A Sweetbriar rehabilitator will show you how baby animals are cared for by their parents in the wild and here at the nature center.  A cake to celebrate will be shared with all to celebrate the occasion. We are asking people to bring donations to help us feed our wildlife (Visit our webpage,sweetbriarnc.org/wildlife-rehabilitation-2/, for donation ideas).  $10/child, $5/adult, discounts available for scoutsMay 20  1pm

 Turtle Walk -Join us in our annual box turtle scavenger hunt and count.  The turtles will be examined and tagged and to be released after our annual wildlife/craft fair.  Meet one of our resident Eastern Box Turtles along with some of our other turtles and create a turtle craft to take home.  Wear long pants and closed toed shoes. All Welcome - $5/person, discounts available for scouts. June 2 and 3,  9am to Noon

 Wildlife and Craft Fair - Come to Sweetbriar’s annual Wildlife and Craft Fair for a day of fun and education   It is also the grand opening of our enclosed Butterfly Garden.  Along with this exciting event musical entertainment, crafts, games, face painting, animal shows, craft vendors and much more will be offered throughout the day.  The Adirondack Wildlife Refuge will be coming down to share some amazing wildlife.  Food and refreshments available for purchase.
